The Clare Valley has a range of things to do and see to suit all ages and tastes.
Mintaro features a rich history an early staging point for transporting copper from the Burra mines to Port Wakefield, and from the 1860s onwards, it was South Australia’s leading producer of high quality slate.
- Mintaro provides the ideal base to explore some of the 30 wineries of the Clare Valley, including Reilly’s just a short walk down the street.
- Go on an adventure and walk or cycle the 26 km Riesling Trail.
- Tour the nearby eco-friendly Timandra Garden, and its 15 acres of diverse agriculture.
- Visit Mintaro Maze, a living maze and the gift shop.
- Relax in Torr Park an attractive picnic area and playground in the main street of Mintaro, adjoining the tennis courts and bowling green.
